Description

A Successful Development Manager actively pursues:

Quality of software that is produced

- Predictability of features and actions that were accepted into the engineering queue

- Flexibility in aligning and realigning the plan for multiple parallel activities when priorities change

- Becoming a trusted, approachable and available mentor to engineers by demonstrating ability to understand, define and solve technical or architectural problems

- Championing of efficiency within the team by relentlessly improving standards on automated testing, scripting, cross module software components etc.

Profile

- Should've at least 12 years' experience in SaaS product engineering; with at least 3 years in managing teams with size between 10 and 15.

- B.Tech or BE from a reputed engineering college.

- Ability to break down software deliverables into time sensitive and ordered set of software components that engineers can build

- Ability to plan out various activities and keep the plan updated as a means of communication with stakeholders -Microsoft Project or Taskjuggler skills are a big plus.

- Fundamentals of programming principles should be familiar and have hands on experience with Java with Spring, Unix/Mac to shell level, one relational database (Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL).

- Experience in one front end development work (Android, iOS or Web) technologies is a plus point.

- Precise conversation skills in English

- Guide people in making software design cheat sheets.
