The BuyVIP tech team in Bangalore is looking for an experienced, innovative, results-oriented mobile Software Development Manager for our apps across all platforms.

BuyVIP is Amazon's flagship Flash Sale site in the EU offering deeply discounted hand-picked styles from popular brands.

We are established in three marketplaces, Germany, Spain and Italy, with potential for growth across the EU.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment

- Work with business leaders and product managers to define product requirements

- Work with engineers to define technical requirements and architect and execute best-in-class implementations

- Build and maintain world-class customer experience and operational excellence for your deliverables

- Recruit, manage and grow a high potential team of Software Engineers

Skills & Experience :

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- 8+ years of experience building successful production software systems

- Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C++ and at least one script/Web programming (i.e. Perl, Mason, JavaScript)

- Strong skills in project planning & execution, problem solving. Ability to take a project from initial scoping requirements through actual launch and support of the project

- A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects

- 2+ years people management experience

- Industry experience in managing software engineering teams to launch iOS or Android phone or tablet apps is strongly preferred.

- Deep, hands-on technical expertise in high scale, service-oriented architectures

- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

- Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions

- Proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon's business and relevant technologies, and use this knowledge to deliver high quality, accurate software deliverables
