Software Development Manager

A senior level opportunity opportunity with a leading MNC having a strong presence in the networking space

Successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:

- Strong expertise in networking and storage protocol standards: IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, RIP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, STP, MultiCast, 1/10Gb Ethernet, SCSI, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, DCB/X, TRILL

- Network protocol and tracing tools experience: Finisar , Wireshark, Ethereal, TCPdump

- Proficient with industry standard I/O load simulation tools: MLTT, iPERF, Jetstress, SQLIO, IOMeter, etc

- Experience with Ethernet network design, including routing, switching, configuration, performance and fault tolerance high availability best practices

- Solid understanding/experience of Server/Switch/Storage hardware and software architectures

- Experience with virtualization environments such as VMware ESX and/or Microsoft Hyper-V

- Proven ability to lead complex development efforts across multiple engineering and geographically disparate teams

- Demonstrated track record in leading and executing complex projects within schedule and budget constraints

- Strong interpersonal and oral communication/presentation skills

- Strong learning, analytical and creative problem solving skills

- Capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously

- Minimumof 8 years experience in networking HW and/or system design, implementing Ethernet, Fibre Channel, iSCSI and FCoE fabrics

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired:

- Experience with storage architecture design for real-world deployments, including application analysis, network design, sizing and capacity planning and performance analysis/ tuning (Fibre Channel, iSCSI and FCoE)

- Networking products and protocol experience a must; L2 protocols (VLAN, STP, RSTP, GVRP, IGMP, etc.), L3 protocols (RIP, OSPF, etc.)

- Capable of managing and developing strong relationships with technology partners and product vendors
