Software Asset Management (SAM) Services
This is a managerial/leadership sales oriented/client facing role with a minimum of 10 years SAM related experience, having dealt with large Enterprise clients globally, across industries such as BFSI, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, IT/ITeS etc.
Must have skills & experience :
- Understanding of Software Licensing for at-least 3 or more publishers (across their products and offerings).
- Understanding- of at-least 3 SAM tools like SNOW, Flexera, Aspera, SAMPro from ServiceNow, Symphony Summit etc. (-Understanding means detailed knowhow of the Tool Deployment and Integration challenges, Discovery related issues etc).
- Must have some sort of knowledge on Scripting - use of Scripts such as in cases of Oracle SAM etc.
- Must have prepared License Compliance Reports of at-least 5 or more publishers by themselves.
- Must have led large SAM Engagement as a SME and not just a project manager.
- Must have knowledge on how the big 4 e.g. PWC, KPMG and EY conduct the Software License Audit (end to end process).
- Must know how to review existing processes, policies related to SAM within the client environment and come back with industry best practices and framework that he or she will need to recommend and implement as part of the overall managed SAM Services project.
- The person must also understand the latest entrants into the field of SAM like ServiceNow SAM Pro and Symphony Summit who could challenge the Gartner leaders like Flexera or SNOW on purely SAM capability.
- The person must be able to build the team's confidence through pure in-depth knowledge on Licensing and SAM tools and your leadership style inspires the team.
- The person should have a learning mindset and one who thrives on ambiguity and is able to well structure the thoughts/services/deliverables in such an environment
