Position : Strategic Planning

Function : Global Schools Strategic Planning Analyst

Reporting : Senior Vice President - Global Schools Strategic Planning

Position Purpose :

- To lead studies on market attractiveness for the segment in countries where the segment has limited / no presence

- In countries where business exists / potential is confirmed, contribute to the definition of the region's and its countries- strategic plan including an - Ambition- and the - Means Necessary to Achieve it- based on Mega trend, Market and Competitor analyses as well as on a thorough understanding of our Internal Strong and Weak points (following steps as defined in Group Policy on Strategic Planning Process).

- Support regional / country Segment leadership in the execution of the regional / country Segment strategy

Job Responsibility :

- Define and conduct market attractiveness analyses in countries where the segment is not established or has very limited presence:

Segment's potential today and its growth dynamics (size, profitability, existing models- ), competitor analyses, regulatory framework / ease of doing business, consumers

- If present / potential is confirmed, contribute to the process lead by the Global Strategic Planning Leader to develop the region's and its countries- strategic plan. In particular drive the analytical steps that are necessary to produce the Regional Strategic Plan made of up of country plans: trends, market and competitor analyses

- Lead the quantification and regular update of the segment's market potential following the methodology communicated by the Global Segment Strategic Planning Leader

- Conduct detailed segment-specific analyses of key competitors at local and regional level, focusing on their strengths and weak points compared to Sodexo.

- Measure historical long-term performance on key progress indicators allowing to identify our strong and weak points compared to competition

Based on these analyses, contribute to the definition a shared Ambition at regional level (to which each country in regional portfolio contributes in a measurable way) and the Means to deliver it (financial trajectories, action plans, - ) including objectives on progress indicators (e.g.: target consumer satisfaction score- )

- Engage with a regional network of local contributors on key themes (market & competitors) in the segment and in the other dimensions in particular working closely with the Geography and Service Operations

- Provide Global Segment Strategic Planning Leader with regional segment insight as part of developing the global segment 5-year plan

- Conduct strategic studies as agreed with Global Segment Strategic Planning Leader

- Provide regional and country data for Group or Global Segment reporting as defined (market share evolution, market size )

- Support regional Segment leadership in the execution of the regional Segment strategy

- Develop processes and progress indicators to ensure that strategic choices are consistently translated into operational and functional action plans (e.g.: through Marketing Offer development, Commercial targeting (RCRT- ) etc.)

- Track and monitor the implementation of agreed strategic action plans as defined in the 5-year plan (Means to achieve Ambition)

Key Accountabilities :

- Assessment of market attractiveness

- Contribution to regional Segment Strategic Plan in full alignment with the Group and Global Segment Strategy and giving visibility to each country's contribution

- Key strategic insights, market data (potential, dynamics- ) and competitive intelligence

- Strategy execution support processes & tools implemented and used

Experience :

- The ideal candidate must be a graduate from a premier business institute with a major in Business Strategy.

- He/she must have relevant experience in strategy planning & execution

- He/she must be excellent in microsoft office
