Job Description :

Qualification - The role incumbent is specifically responsible for :

Delivery :

- Proactively ensure compliance with Tax Laws and actively manage tax risk impacting GSC

- Ensure development and maintenance of all necessary policies and systems, in line with India tax laws and alignment with the group policies.

- Establish process for internal checks and controls to ensure tax compliance over all activities of the organization in accordance with industry norms, nature & size of the activities of the organization and requirements under applicable laws.

- Promote and facilitate the application of Finance policies and procedures across the organization by monitoring adherence and ensuring that they remain fully compliant with all finance regulatory/statutory requirements.

- Build and oversee strong stake-holder relationships.

- Ensure that the required organization structure is in place for the Function and appropriate people resources are deployed in roles and appropriately utilized to deliver Business plans effectively.

Change Management :

- Promote a culture of strong constant monitoring, evaluation and resultant evolution; of innovation and innovative thinking; of service and client focus/centricity in the function. Contribute to GSC's innovation initiatives.

- Ensure consistent monitoring of trends in the industry, modifications in regulatory requirements impacting the operating model in the spirit of continuous improvement an evaluate applicability to GSC.

- Utilize metrics to influence efficiencies and improvement efforts across the various BLs, driving an environment of continuous improvement in an efficient and cost effective manner. Monitor progress of continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance and Accounts function and take appropriate corrective actions when required.

People Management :

- Provide strong leadership to the team to clearly communicate GSC, CFG and F&A strategic objectives and vision; ensure the appropriate conversion/break down into operational objectives and ensure sound appropriation and integration across the team/s.

- Ensure team's performance capability and competency level for optimal performance. Mentor and coach direct reports and assist direct reports in managing their teams.

- Build a performance oriented culture within the function; ensuring the correct message on the significance of merit and contribution is sent across during Reward and Recognition exercises.

- Ensure a strong succession process within the function. Build capability of direct reports to address current as well as future business plans of the Organization; ensuring sound mapping of individual skill levels, abilities & aspirations against identified needs.

Education level - Master's Degree

Work experience - 7-10 years
