Role and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must have demonstrated and extensive social media experience. The candidate should be actively participating in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc. and is well-connected with the broader social media world. The candidate must be able to think strategically, but also be willing and able to roll up sleeves to help implement the programs. He/she should be able to strategize, plan, manage, evangelize, train and facilitate the execution/adoption of social media.

- Help create a comprehensive social media strategy (objectives, tactics, timelines, accountabilities and metrics,) to define programs that use social media marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership and traffic across all our web touch points; implement and manage social media campaigns and leads

- Strategize with and educate the Marketing and Sales leadership and other internal stakeholders across the organization on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the corporate GTM culture and in to all of the organization’s outreach activities, both internal and external

- Commission market research projects and leverage insights to build successful campaigns

- Leverage with the company’s Social Media CoE team for listening, monitoring and analytics

- Ensure all corporate social profiles are properly claimed, optimized, promoted and managed

- Is responsible for and manages brand voice of the Organization in social media

- Experiment with new and alternate ways to leverage social media activities (‘marketing R&D’)

- Monitor trends in social media, tools and applications, and appropriately apply that knowledge to enhance the use/leverage of social media at the Organization

- Source and manage content development and publishing by approved/certified employees/SMEs

- Identify and manage the engagement with key influencers

- Exercise utmost discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user generated content

- Work with senior leadership to ensure social media is integrated into the cultural fabric of the organization

- Identify, select and manage external service providers and third party tools/licenses

- Measure and report the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts (Publish daily, weekly, monthly dashboards and reports)

- Create/Monitor Social Media Employee Policy/Guidelines for HR

- Train employees to monitor and engage in healthy social media practices

- Responsible for keeping employees updated on evolving technology, trends and tools

Candidate Attributes:

- 7-9 years social media marketing experience with a Tier 1 IT Services organization (Social media marketing should have been your core role and not one of the responsibilities within your portfolio)

- Should have worked in a global role, so understands the social media variables of the non-English speaking markets

- Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media (you will be asked to share the links)

- Proven ability to map out marketing strategy into social media plan and then drive that plan proven by metrics

- Understands social media universe including YouTube, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, Reddit, Forums, Twitter, Slideshare, LinkedIn, Wikis, blogs, etc. We’re looking for a social media addict who maintains a personal mix of participatory expertise from among these channels

- Should have excellent understanding of Lead Generation process

- Extremely proficient in social media tools (TruPULSE, Radian 6 & ScoutLabs) and techniques; Proficient in SMMS (social media management system)

- Has work experience in advertising, PR, online marketing

- Possess functional knowledge or some experience with HTML/CSS (desirable, not a must)

- Knowledge of SEO-think including basic keyword research

- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment

- Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

- Ability to create great working relationships at all levels within the organization and across multiple disciplines

- Proficient with Microsoft Office products

- Excellent time and project management skills

Qualifications:

Post graduate degree/diploma in marketing from a reputed institution (Preferred. Not compulsory) and/or relevant experience working with Tier 1 IT organization.
