YouTube Channel Manager This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation and short to mid-term strategy for a leading EdTech company's YouTube channel. This encompasses the content strategy, scheduling and delivery; and working with Head of Video Production & Marketing teams to implement the agreed strategy to grow the YouTube channel and use it to support the wider business objectives including growing subscribers and views. Role & Responsibility: - Responsibility for the day-to-day operation of YouTube channel - Develop & implement audience development strategies both on and off YouTube to increase viewing and subscriber numbers. - Manage the supply of video clips from in-house & agencies to ensure all content is rights cleared and as per Brand guidelines. - Manage promotions and live events on the channels. - Take responsibility for the overall look and design of YouTube channel & ensure all videos are SEO compliant. - Research on what types of content used by competitors is performing well on YouTube as well as other sites, in order to advise on channels' content needs, and generate ideas. - Create YouTube ads for performance marketing based on best practices The Ideal Candidate - Direct and extensive experience (3-5 years) with running YouTube channels or other, similar community-driven online video portals. - Must be able to demonstrate having successfully grown a video channel in terms of both subscriber numbers and video views / engagement. - Must have a good understanding of the operational challenges of sourcing, clearing and publishing online video. - Have a proven understanding of the current YouTube algorithms, including popular video sharing sites and popular social networks. - Understanding of the production process of digital videos & Ed-tech industry is preferred Experience growing YouTube audience/channel in U.S is an added advantage.
