SMERA Ratings - VP - Rating Operations - Large Corporate/Financial Institution

Role:

- Provide leadership & direction to the Large Corporate rating division. Drive the Large Corporate business by delivering high quality analytical output, risk policies and process framework.

- Contributes to broader strategic planning and business decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.

Responsibilities :

- Define and implement the strategic goals for the Analytical team.

- Effectively represent the views of the management while participating in SMERA Board meetings

- Be responsible for analytical quality and timelines for the analytical team

- Provide analytical inputs in rating committee and ensure that the rating process is of the highest quality.

- Ensure that the rating note and publications are of superior quality.

- Be responsible for and interact with external agencies including Media, Regulator etc for communicating SMERA's views.

- Strengthen SMERA's brand as an analytical organization through visibility in financial markets through outreach programs including thought leadership articles, participation in industry forums, high profile events etc.

- Ensure business and regulatory compliance

- Proactively design and implement policies based on change in environment / market

- Set up processes that reflect SMERA's values - Trust, Innovation, Excellence and Service

- Decide the matrices, realign processes, monitor and ensure efficiency through processes

- Responsible for the overall delivery of the team, skill enhancement, career progression and stakeholder management

- Develop a high performance team through hiring right and also providing the required training

Reporting : The role will report directly to the CEO.

Experience & knowledge :

- Credit experience in rating industry, banks or NBFC of 12+ years

- Knowledge of analysing financial institutions including banks, NBFCs, structured transactions etc.
