SMBC - Officer/Senior Officer - Quality Assurance & Operation Planning

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is a Japanese multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group. SMBC is the second largest bank in Japan by asset.

SMBC's has been present in India since 2012 as a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

The incumbent will have the following roles and responsibilities :

Process Risk Monitoring/Quality Assurance :

- Inspect daily operational slips/transaction documents

- Handle Clerical errors/ Clerical accidents and information leakage cases (Make report and implement preventive measures)

- Coordinate reporting of errors and preparations of root cause analysis.

- Coordinate for In-office inspection.

- Conduct research of customer satisfaction and report findings.

Operations Framework Planning :

- Review Process Manuals/Policies and work together with relevant departments for documents(s) refresh.

- Coordinate for consolidation of Branch Process Manual and report.

- Coordinate for audit related preparation; follow up items with relevant departments including RBI Audits, Head Office Audit or any other Audit.

Others :

- Preparation of in-office memo's and co-ordinate for approvals from management/HO.

- Handling any other planning/quality assurance/ coordination/reporting/research /project related work as assigned by superior/ Management time to time.

Qualifications : University Graduate/MBA/PGDM

Additional Qualification : Quality Management/ Six Sigma

Skills :

- Good communication and writing skills

- Good numeric and analytical skills

- Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Power Point, Banking Applications)

Experience /Knowledge Required :

- 2 to 5 years of work experience and exposure to banking operations/process (i.e - Trade Operations, Deposit operations, Treasury operations, Operations Quality assurance, Operational Risk Management etc..)

- Sound knowledge of quality management and process improvement tools and techniques.

- Good knowledge of general banking practices, regulatory and other banking related guidelines
