SMBC - AVP - Trade Finance Operations

JOB SUMMARY

Checking, Verifying, Approving Trade Transactions in CBS / SWIFT / SFMS for SMBC . Working as a Floor manager for the Department and overseeing the Workflow / queue management for ensuring timely prompt and error free transaction management . Having thorough knowledge of Trade Finance workflow and Process automation with its exhaustive experience in leading Indian Private Banks .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Checking, Approving, Verifying of import & export documents in all respects and authorizing in core systems / SWIFT / SFMS .

2. Keeping track of maturities and payment related to all types of Domestic, import payments & export receipts.

3. Checking of all the clauses/contents of Import LC issuance & LC amendment.

4. Checking of operations related to discounting/ purchase of export bills.

5. Supervision and disposal of SWIFT / SFMS Messages.

6. Arranging to provide all import/export related reporting to RBI and other regulatory authorities.

7. Checking and issuing balance confirmation certificates .

8. Checking all trade related loans ( Buyer's & Suppliers Credit, ECB Loans, Supply Chain Finance etc)

9. To check & send the sale/purchase reporting for FCY transactions to the Treasury front office. Exchange Position reconciliation with Treasury Front office team .

10. Checking & sending of all RBI & other regulatory reporting to be send as per set frequency.

11. Supervising & checking of all other misc. transactions related to export/import transactions.

12. Checking & managing of proper house-keeping of all the files/ documents on daily basis.

13. Authorizer for FCY Remittance, NEFT/RTGS.

14. Checking of fund position reporting needs to be sent to Treasury front office.

15. Control of Incoming and outgoing swift messages.

16. Management of EDPMS / IDPMS / EBRC site of DGFT for ensuring real time upload and settlement of Trade transaction / pendency .

17. Day end activity, Checking of Pre closure reports related to Cash, Trade, Treasury Back office, internal accounts etc.

18. Leading all tech and automation initiatives for the bank and ensuring its UAT, roll out management .

19. Must have successfully rolled out a minimum of 4 transaction banking product automation with fair lot of enrichment done for TAT and STP 

20.Managing All Audits and data submission with regards to Internal / external audit for the department and ensuring all returns pertaining to the Team are submitted in time .

21. Review of Process Manual and aligning team with regards to on-going regulatory changes in Transaction banking domain .

22. Innovating Team manager with Killer instinct filled with solution orientation .

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification

A University Graduate or Post Graduate.

Working Experience

A Minimum of 10+ years work experience in Centralised Processing centre of Trade Finance Operations of Leading Indian Private Bank .
