SMBC - AVP - ITD Operations

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is one of the largest Japanese banks in the world and serves customers in APAC, EMEA and Americas region. The bank is majorly involved in commercial banking activities. In India, the bank has launched its operations in March 2013 and is growing steadily since then. We are looking out to recruit dynamic people for the branch to aid the business expansion plan in the country.

We are currently recruiting an AVP - ITD Operations.

Title : AVP - ITD Operations.

Reporting : To Head of Technology and Information Security.

The AVP would serve as a senior member of the IT team providing leadership in Management of IT Operations. The, position also oversees procurement, vendor contracts and data center operations function including working with the business leadership to ensure that all application change requirements are understood and delivered timely.The role also requires management of key projects across business functions and their sustenance on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities :

- Business Application Project Management.

- Management and Operation of IT Systems.

- Management of primary and DR Data center to ensure continuity of business related critical applications.

- Develop detailed project plans for large-scale server and data center related projects.

- Manage, Prioritize and successfully execute multiple concurrent mission critical infrastructure deployment projects.

- Balance competing demands for resources and adapt to changing priorities.

- Management of Vendor Relationships.

- Management of Service Desk.

- Provide meaningful and timely reporting for weekly success metrics.

Must Have :

- Minimum 7 years of experience managing multiple, small to medium,cross functional teams or projects.

- Proven ability to lead Technology Service Delivery / IT Operations / Data Center Management.

- Ability to deliver on complex technical projects and initiatives.

- Experience with disaster recovery planning and oversight.

- Detailed understanding of infrastructure practices,operations,standards and frameworks.

- Prior experience interfacing with senior management.

- Understanding of ITIL Service Management Framework.

- Experience in enterprise grade data center design and layout with specific experience in large internet operations environments,banking, business continuity providers or financial institutions is a solid plus.

- Proven track record in process and procedure development execution.

Good to have :

- PMP Certification.

- CISA / CISM or other related certifications.

- Knowledge of information security standards (e.g. ISO 17799 / 27002,etc )

- This position requires some weekend and evening assignments as well as availability during off-hours for participation in scheduled and unscheduled activities.
