Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is one of the largest Japanese banks in the world and serves customers in APAC, EMEA and Americas region. The bank is majorly involved in commercial banking activities.

- In India, the bank has launched its operations in March 2013 and is growing steadily since then. We are looking out to recruit dynamic people for the branch to aid the business expansion plan in the country.

We are currently recruiting for AVP's - Corporate Banking - Financial Institutions.

Job Summary :

The FI segment includes capital and commodity market brokers, mutual funds, insurance companies, private equity and hedge funds both domestic and offshore based, NBFCs, FIs and banks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Scan the market environment, ensure formulation of new products and tweak existing product feature.

- Develop relationships with foreign banks in primary and secondary market.

- Promote the business and achieve the annual budget

- Set up the business policy not only for each financial institutions but also for the whole financial sector in India, in co-operation with credit team.

- Closely monitor the market conditions, and each financial institutions credit risk and submit appropriate report from time to time in co-operation with credit team.

- Prepare industry notes as may be required for risk requirements.

- Support and co-work with other GIBD staff, those of India Branch and any other branches and departments that are involved, in order to achieve the Mission of the department.

- Co-operate and co-work with other department in India Branch and other branched upon request.

- Make necessary credit applications and check all compliance matters in the same manner as Branch Staff.

- Liaise with Mid Office/ Legal Team to complete documentation and delivery to client.

- Raise Early Warning signals & take corrective actions.

- Ensure the files are audit ready.

Position Specifications :

Working Experience :

- 6 + years of Business Development experience with Banks & Financial Institution.

Qualifications : Post Graduate

- Strong communication & negotiation skills.

- Multi-tasking and good time management.

- Ability to work under strenuous situations.

- Team handling skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
