SMBC - Assistant Manager/Manager - Trade Operations - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

JOB SUMMARY :

The ideal incumbent would be responsible for checking & processing of all the transactions related to Trade Finance and Self induced management of transactions for Trade processing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Checking of import & export documents in all respects and authorizing in core systems.

2. Exhaustive knowledge of RBI and Regulatory guidelines.

3. Knowledge to process All type of Inland and Cross-Border Trade Transaction.

4. End to end Knowledge of EDPMS / IDPMS / EFIRC/ BRC etc and thorough understanding of working in Digital Trade Finance Domain .

5. Processing & Handling all operations related to counter LCs / SBLCs.

6. Keeping track of maturities and payment related to all types of import payments & export receipts.

7. Checking of all the clauses/contents of Import LC issuance & LC amendment.

8. Checking of operations related to discounting/ purchase of export bills.

9. Authorization of SWIFT Messages.

10. Arranging to provide all import/export related reporting to RBI and other regulatory authorities.

11. Checking of balance confirmation.

12. Checking all trade-related loans ( Buyer's & Suppliers Credit, ECB Loans ets)

13. To check & send the sale/purchase reporting for FCY transactions to the Treasury front office.

14. Checking & sending of all RBI & other regulatory reporting to be sent as per set frequency.

15. Supervising & checking of all other misc. transactions related to export/import transactions.

16. Checking & managing of proper house-keeping of all the files/ documents on daily basis.

17. Back up authorizer for FCY Remittance, NEFT/RTGS.

18. Checking of fund position reporting needs to be sent to Treasury front office.

19. Control of Incoming and outgoing swift messages.

20. Checking of Pre closure reports related to Cash, Trade, Treasury Back office, internal accounts etc.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS :

Qualification/Working Experience:

1. A University Graduate or Post Graduate from a Tier 1 Institute.

2. 6 - 8 Years of Trade Finance Backend Operations at leading Private Bank
