Smarthome Studio is a funded, IoT start-up, currently in stealth mode, working on an innovative, disruptive solution, which addresses the real Indian consumer problems. We are centered around the consumer and are obsessed with understanding our consumers' issues and problems. It is this obsession that is driving us to create a product, which will practically live and breathe as the consumer, assisting in every small step and impacting every aspect of her/his life.

As a team it is a cohort of young, highly qualified individuals bringing together a wide range of complementary skills - from embedded technology to branding and sales. It is promoted by alumni of IIT/IIM and LBS who are industry leaders and entrepreneurs who have achieved highly profitable exits from their previous ventures.

With the ever expanding work scope, we are looking to add more talent to our team. We are not looking for employees, but for driven individuals who are seeking an adventure in a venture, which truly is poised to shake things up to the point of shattering existing rules. The candidate coming in would be the leader on the technology side. There are a total of 5 team members as of today.

Position Details:

We have recently hired from IIMJobs and want to hire one more with the same profile.

a) Title - Business Associate

b) Reporting to - Chief Business Officer

c) Team - Business Associate would work along with a team of other business associates

Key responsibilities/work :

a) Execute and manage the consumer research leading to product definition

b) Assist in branding strategy

c) Assist in business development and communication

d) Work along with Chief Business Officer to assist in other strategic and operational matters.

Key skills/ background required :

- Preferably from a well reputed undergraduate/ MBA college

- Work experience of 1-2 yrs

- Proficient in analytical and research skills

- Interested in consumer products and services

- Entrepreneurial and independent

- Highly driven and energetic

Compensation is flexible since we are a startup - it would be typical start-up salary and maybe a combination of cash and ESOPs, depending on the candidate.
