Job Responsibilities

Create, analyze and maintain explanatory/ predictive models

Work includes all phases of the modelling process: research design, data extraction and cleaning, model building and validation.

To work through the entire life cycle of a project from inception to implementation.

Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions

Experience using Machine Learning Algorithms: Linear & Logistic Regression, Time Series analysis, Support Vector Machine, K- Means clustering, K- Nearest Neighbors, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, PCA, SVD, Artificial Neural Networks, Association Rules, Genetic Algorithm, Optimization, Bagging and Boosting algorithms etc

Excellent communication and decision making skills are essential.

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision- making skills

Develop and maintain working relationships with key customer stakeholders

Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design

Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers

Required Skill Set :

Masters in Mathematics/ Statistics disciplines

Proficiency required in one or more of analytical tools such as SAS, R, Python.

Experience in at least two of the areas

Statistical modeling (Regression, Classification, Time- series forecasting) / Machine Learning / Text Mining / Optimization / Visualization

Knowledge on Machine Learning Techniques and Big Data (Hadoop) would be added advantage

Knowledge of statistical tools and techniques, especially those relating to data mining

Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field,

Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization

7+ years- practical experience with SAS, ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics

Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis

Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation

Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills

Experience with programming languages such as Java/Python an asset
