Purpose:
- To evaluate internal control systems and integrity of financial and operating information
- To verify compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- To verify existence of assets and that they are safeguarded.
- To review operations for consistency with established management goals and objectives
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the overall risk assessment of the company and development of the annual audit plan
- Lead role in ensuring IFC compliance
- Examining policies and procedures associated with company finances for adequacy
- Plan and conduct internal audits related to regulatory compliance, operational auditing, and financial auditing by maintaining independence and objectivity
- Coordinating with external auditing firms for IFC related requirements
- Identify errors and control deficiencies. Understand and communicate downstream impact on the business of control deficiencies timely
- Identify and recommend business process changes resulting in strengthened internal controls and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor and Follow up with the respective departments/function on closure of action items arising out of the internal audit
- Stay abreast of industry developments for establishing those practices within the company
Educational qualifications and Experience
- CA/CA-Inter/MBA Finance with 2-7 years of experience
- CIA is added advantage
- Internal audit experience of IT Industry
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge on accounting and auditing standard
- Should have worked in an ERP environment- Preferably Oracle
Functional skills:
- Understanding of organization's business and support processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, audit procedures
