SKH Group Head - Design & Development Job Objective: - To provide direction to the design & development function with focus on New Product Development and Process Innovation. - To drive efficiency and productivity improvement as well as standardization and documentation of key process. Job Responsibilities: - Process - Pro-actively partner with stake holders to identify potential areas to improve/enhance efficiency existing products/processes - Focus on improving operational efficiency through better utilization of resources/infrastructure as well as technology - Ensure proper documentation at various stages of product development and process innovation - Drive consistent process improvement across various programs - Scan the global market & explore new equipment/technologies. - Establish strong Knowledge Management System & allied processes to retain & leverage in-house knowledge. Quality : - Plan of preparation job process standard, review & establish operations accordingly - Early investigate and proposal and improvement plan of production requirement - Setting of QCD target and drafting of activity plan - Focus on improving new product quality through re-engineering, past problems countermeasure & process improvement Cost/ Finance : - Develop and monitor adherence to the annual department D&D budget and report in management reviews - Streamline NPD process to optimize development time, cost & resource utilization during planning & execution phases - Drive aggressively VAVE/cost saving projects People : - Build a team of specialized resources for the D&D function - Build capability of existing team members and hire talent wherever, in- house capability is not available - Create a culture of sharing and developing through team meetings & knowledge sharing forums - Drive timely Performance Management System for all members of the D&D team
