Job Description:


Role: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Reporting to: CMD


Location: Hyderabad


Purpose of the Job:


The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the group, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. Will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CMD and the top executive team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.


Supervision Responsibilities:


- Oversees Accounting, finance department and budget preparation.


- Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.


- Lead finance function from the front - build a team in sync with the organization's vision.


Major Responsibilities


- Financial Planning and Analysis: Developing and implementing financial strategies, forecasting financial performance, and analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team. Develop/Implement the corporate fund-raising strategies and have a grip on the Company's overall financial position and take corrective/preventive actions as & when required.


- Budgeting and Cost Management: Overseeing the budgeting process, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize financial resources. Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits of business initiatives.


- Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, regulatory compliance, and communication with stakeholders.


- Risk Management: Identifying and managing financial risks, such as market fluctuations, liquidity issues, and compliance with financial regulations.


- Capital Management: Assessing and managing the organization's capital structure, including debt and equity financing, investment decisions, and capital allocation.


- Strategic Decision Making: Collaborating with the executive team to provide financial insights and analysis for strategic decision-making, evaluating potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions. Guide the company towards profitability and long-term success.


- External Relationship: Building and maintaining relationships with rating agencies, Banks & financial institutions, etc and effectively communicating the organization's financial performance and growth prospects. Manage relationships with key suppliers.


- Team Management: Managing and developing a finance team, providing guidance and support, and ensuring the department's efficiency and effectiveness. Managing and leading a commercial team, providing guidance, support, and training, and ensuring the team's performance aligns with organizational goals.


- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.


- To manage the performance and development of the Finance and Accounting team to ensure future succession to senior positions.


- Pricing and Financial Analysis: Analyzing pricing strategies, conducting cost analysis, and evaluating profitability to optimize pricing structures and maximize revenue.


- Market Research and Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and adapt business strategies accordingly.


- Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.


- Control and evaluate the organizations fundraising plans and capital structure. Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.


- Drive in a hands-on manner the full array of financial functions including taxation, treasury, cash management, working capital management, corporate finance, control, audit, financial planning and analysis, ERP exploitation, and MIS. Set up and oversee the company finance IT system.


Required Skills/ Abilities:


- Proven experience as CFO.


- Excellent management and supervisory skills.


- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.


- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.


- In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices


- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.


- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.


- Ability to strategize and solve problems.


- Strong leadership and organizational skills.


- Excellent communication and people skills written and verbal.


- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers with good decision making.


Educational Qualifications and Experience:


- Masters degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance required.


- Certified Chartered Accountant.


- 15 to 17 years of experience in financial management.
