- Work with Head-HO and other Head office management to develop and maintain a cost effective offshore application development and support center.

- Implementing offshore application development and support delivery model.

- Act as the first level escalation point within ITD for risks and issues concerning IT development centre.

- Direct overall planning and management of IT staffing levels with development centre to ensure HO ITD requirements are delivered within planned scope, duration and cost throughout the lifecycle. Communicate/escalate status of key projects/changes and deliverable. Demonstrate and instill a culture of accountability among team members.

- Administer and supervise the execution of business and personnel related activities within the development centre in coordination with the Head-HO and the other HO management team, including planning, resource allocation, implementation, technical proposals, budget planning and preparation, administration and employee management activities.

- Implement IT software projects as instructed by IT HO in support of business functions and projects, while ensuring adherence to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes as well as the other relevant policies, processes and guidelines established at IT HO.

- Works closely with ITD Head Office personnel and projects teams in designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining the applications to support the business needs.

- Prioritize work to accommodate IT and business needs while minimizing impact on current deliverables and report back to Head-HO where conflicts and risks arise.

- Assist and facilitate communication and documentation as needed to ensure timely submission of development and support deliverables.

- Manages various teams of technology professionals engaged in developing IT systems. Supervise direct reports and ensures work deliverables are accomplished. Builds a culture of teamwork and collaboration through active communication with staff and HO teams.

- Provide technical guidance and support to the development, testing and support teams to ensure smooth functioning of development centre.

- Work closely with HO personnel and Group Leaders to prioritize and align relevant teams to address production and other urgent issues.

- Ensure the proper orientation and training is conducted and maintained within the development centre.

- Perform employee performance assessments and reviews (for team members within the development centre, i.e., project-based performance assessments and individual competency performance assessments) uniformly in accordance with the Bank's HR policies.

- Work with the local partners and agencies to source the required development resources and teams to deliver efficient software for the bank.

- Ensure proper handover mechanism is in place to address the continuity issues at development centre.

- Maintain a regular supply of IT talent in the pipeline to minimize the disruption of development centre operations due to possible attrition.

- Coordinate with software application vendors when necessary.

- Interface with internal and external entities (such as other project teams, IT units, external businesses, suppliers, vendors, etc.) and provide support and coordination as per HO ITD requirements with respect to projects, costs, software, hardware and other areas as required.
