The company went public in August 2017 and has a market cap of Rs. 8500 cr.  We are looking for a Manager - M&A and Investor Relations. The person selected will be a key contributor to ongoing inorganic activities and Investor Relations programs.   The individual will have the opportunity to work directly with senior managers and executives of the M&A and CFO's team to execute on a range of M&A, fund raising and other strategic planning activities. The position will be responsible for developing financial models, making investment committee notes, working with external advisors on diligence and legal documents, understanding post-merger integration and should have the ability to run with a deal from end-end on his own.   As a part of the IR team, he/ she will be required to interact with various fund managers, research analysts, brokerage houses, rating agencies and present to them and work with them proactively to address incoming queries, organise and attend roadshows, make presentations internally and externally on quarterly and annual results, attend to media queries and organise IR events and conferences.   Considering the dual-pronged nature of this role, we are looking for accomplished people who have an experience primarily in M&A, with some exposure to Investor Relations activity/ interactions with brokerage houses or fund managers. Candidates from a purely Investor Relations background may not fit the bill.   Typical Responsibilities:  - Modeling/Financial Analysis: Create, modify and/or review different financial, economic, or other models (e.g., valuation, financial projections, project finance, etc.) to support strategic decisions or M&A transactions, applying critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and data analysis.  - Discussion Materials: Prepare presentation materials synthesizing research findings, data analysis, and recommendations in a clear and logical manner, for discussion with working teams and presentation to senior management and to external brokerage houses, fund managers etc  - Research: Conduct market research, understand and track competitive landscape, benchmarking of companies, review of industry reports etc.   - Project Management: Considering that the role is both extensive and intensive, the individual should have good project management skills to coordinate the various activities, develop work plans, roadmaps and templates to track and organize strategic planning activities, and support internal brainstorming and knowledge sharing.  Education and Experience Qualifications  - 10-12 years experience in M&A and Investor Relations.   - CA/ MBA (Finance) with the strong academic track record  - Past experience from a big 5 in a diligence or transaction advisory role would be preferred.   - Goes without saying - should have a keen eye on numbers and diligence skills are vital  - Excellent written communication - we communicate a lot with the external world - a lot of press releases, annual reports, media Q&A etc goes out and the individual should have good writing abilities (though we are not expecting a Salman Rushdie here !)  - Should have excellent presentation skills - both in creating decks on powerpoint and the confidence in delivering presentations to big/ small audiences  - No task should be too small - we are a company where senior management does not mind rolling up its sleeves and we like folks who can jump in and show initiative  - Should be a self-starter and possess good and pleasant interpersonal skills
