Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies to maximize revenue.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify pricing trends, customer behaviour, and competitor pricing strategies. Utilize data-driven insights to recommend adjustments to pricing models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to design and implement effective pricing models that align with business objectives.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of existing pricing strategies. Propose and implement improvements to optimize pricing effectiveness and profitability.
- Analyse pricing proposals and large-scale contracts to ensure pricing compliance and identify potential areas for negotiation.
- Provide guidance and support to sales teams during price negotiations with customers and vendors to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Stay informed about the pricing strategies of competitors and leverage this knowledge to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Ensure that pricing policies and guidelines are adhered to across the organization. Address any instances of non-compliance and work with stakeholders to implement corrective measures.
- Utilize pricing software and tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance pricing analytics capabilities.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, sharing industry best practices and fostering professional growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Pricing Specialist, Pricing Analyst, or a similar role with 8-10 years of experience in pricing strategy development and implementation.
- Deep understanding of pricing methodologies, pricing analytics, and market dynamics in the industry.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey pricing strategies and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in pricing software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated track record of driving measurable improvements in pricing performance and profitability.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and lead pricing-related initiatives
