Role: - Head of Career Services will own the planning and execution of the Job Guarantee programs at Simplilearn. There is a demand-supply gap when it comes to the job market in India. Millions of graduates/engineers who pass out of Tier2/3/4 colleges every year are largely not employable. - With the Job Guarantee programs, Simplilearn is trying to bridge this gap by helping freshers and early-career professionals find jobs in the high demand areas such as Full stack development, Data Science, Automation Testing, etc. This problem has not been solved at scale by any private or public player. - The person coming on-board should be driven by a larger purpose and someone who is willing to walk the extra mile to impact the lives of thousands of learners. The role focused on 3 broad dimensions: 1. Ensuring intake of high-quality candidates by putting in place a strong pre-sale screening process and improving it from time to time based on data (work closely with category and sales teams to drive this) 2. Creating the right suite of career services to provide extensive and timely help to learners for interview preparation (work closely with content and product teams to drive this) 3. Create a recruiter sourcing/placement engine that can help place hundreds of learners every month (work closely with performance/organic marketing and enterprise teams to drive this) Some of the additional expectations from the role would be to: - Build a high-performing admissions, ops, and recruiter sourcing and management team that delivers under pressure - Drive higher customer satisfaction across all touchpoints in the career services journey - Work with the product and technology teams to build automated features to help learners discover and apply for jobs seamlessly - Work with the product and technology teams to build automation that can help career ops team nudge and help learners across their journey - Build and nurture relationships with some of the largest IT and ITes companies of India Desired background: - Tier 1 MBA or someone who has demonstrated performance in a high-growth environment - Minimum 5 years within placement/staffing/career services - Enterprise sales in SaaS or technology company - Strategy consultant from the consulting firms or equivalent and who has worked on transformation/implementation projects - Business development role - Strong data orientation as we only take decisions after looking at data from all angles - Ability to understand and drive demand generation metrics - Strong people management background; should have led a team of at least 25+ people - Strong influencing skills and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders to get the work done - Ability to present to senior management
