Internal Communications Advisor will lead the development and implementation of internal marketing and communication strategies, recognition programs and targeted engagement events with an aim to align, inspire and activate employees around the company's business strategy, culture and values. This position will actively drive employee alignment and engagement efforts through company-wide employee communications and events for 1,000 employees across existing and future communication channels and vehicles including new and emerging technologies. Functions: - Works with the leaders for Internal Communications to develop and execute SVB's internal communication strategy to support the company's business and culture objectives - Develops long-term strategies and leads key internal communication initiatives (example projects include communications materials to reinforce company missions, vision, strategy &amp; values) - Develops and manages employee recognition strategies and programs - Helps plan content and leads production logistics for engaging global employee events and conferences - Works closely with the Human Resources team to strengthen employee engagement and promote programs that build talent and reinforce a strong corporate culture - Collects timely data to support business initiatives through focus groups, surveys, town halls, one-on-one interviews, and other methodology; evaluates and applies the data to evolve communication and engagement strategies. - Establishes and tracks metrics that help correlate internal communications programs to employee engagement. Skills: - Demonstrated business acumen and skills in translating business strategies to comprehensive corporate communication strategies - Outstanding oral and written communication and editing skills with a proven talent for storytelling - Experience leading company reputation, values and culture strategies and programming - Demonstrated experience producing large corporate events designed to align, inspire and engage employees - Demonstrated ability to understand multiple, diverse stakeholders, anticipate impact of company actions on company culture, and translate complex issues into clear, simple and consistent messages and themes. - Experience working collaboratively with a broad range of internal partners in a global organization - Proven ability to significantly influence stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan to align people or groups - Strong interpersonal/written communication skills aligned to the company's tone and messaging. - A demonstrated track record of creative programs executed to meet business objectives - Experience working with and advising executives Experience: - BA in public relations, journalism, communications, English, marketing or related field, 7-8 years of experience. - Knowledge of consumer marketing, Ability to make media pitches, Inquisitive, Deadline-driven
