Designation: Supply Chain Operations Specialist, India Reports to: Supply Chain Lead- India Location: Gurgaon (India Headquarters) - Design or implement warehousing strategies as per logistics needs of business. - Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws. - Coordinate importation activities for all products. - Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality. - Ensure optimization of all costs in Supply Chain, finding the ideal balance between Service and Investment - Work closely with supply chain planner to forecast demand or establish supply schedules that ensure timely availability of materials or products - Oversee the management of the SC vendor sourcing, procurement, contracting, and evaluation of services. - Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance and quality assurance - Collaborate with other departments, such as Global Sourcing &amp; Procurement, Quality Assurance etc to identify or qualify new suppliers and develop procedures to implement selected suppliers. - Undertake negotiation on commercial terms with suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders. - Appraise vendors- from time to time on their logistics and distribution capabilities through on-site visits. - Monitor 3PL/Warehouse performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery standards or requirements. - Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success - Meet with vendor partners to discuss performance metrics, provide feedback and discuss forecasts or changes - Facilitate the implementation of new or improved supply chain processes. - Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows. - Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory. - Manage activities related to inventory control, warehousing, or receiving. - Responsible for management of Order to Delivery cycle ie order management, facilitating invoicing and master data management, product returns and entry in system, delivery tracking from warehouse to customers Skills and Qualifications Required: - Essential: A degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent. - 5 - 10 years of progressive experience in various supply chain management roles within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare - Desired: Knowledge of ERP systems, logistics operations and management of external suppliers. - Mandatory experience of managing Warehousing and Distribution, Customer Complaint handling; Cold Chain Management experience will be preferred
