Principal Accountabilities : - Is involved in hands-on delivery of a cross section of team projects - Brings own strong subject matter expertise in one or more areas of Upstream / Downstream / Integrated Gas - Leads end to end delivery of projects - scoping, planning, day to day analysis, managing efforts of junior team members, client interface, conducting own analysis and report out - Delivers required work streams or project components through own hands-on work through analysis, synthesis and report-out - Supports junior team members by providing guidance for day to day project delivery and coaching on subject matter or functional skills - Manages the relationship with anchor clients (key account management) by building a strong personal connect with senior stakeholders - Builds own network in Shell and with external service providers, to identify synergies, obtain / validate required data and viewpoints, and socialize findings to all relevant audience - Demonstrates and promotes top quartile project delivery by strict adherence to quality framework and provide inputs for enhancing the framework - Innovates new ways of gathering, representing and disseminating information, so that coverage and effectiveness of the products in maximized - Demonstrates eagerness to understand the end-use application of the products, and uses that viewpoint to make improvements in product design and delivery mechanism Delivery Dimensions and expected Outcomes : Dimensions : - Projects typically encompass benchmarking and speciality deepdives for Technology, TaCIT/IT, Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, IG. - These are 6-8 week complex deepdives; accountable for end to end delivery of 6-8 projects a year. - Projects are VP/GM sponsored usually for strategy development, portfolio reviews or global CI teams and might involve 2-3 SCI team members. Deepdives : - Deepdives on technology topics such as Connected customers, e-mobility, disruptive technologies such as 3D printing etc - Deepdives on Upstream/Downstream covering companies, countries, markets. Eg- market assessment of services in certain geographies, Company deepdives for independent Oil companies, service companies, - Speciality deepdives : Eg- D&R analysis on specific regions, deepdives on skillpools/decision support tools, Game/war gaming projects etc Key Challenge(s) : - Rigor and diligence in handling large amounts of information, and networking with stakeholders on both ends of the products value chain. - Because of the responsibility to manage the products, the incumbent should demonstrate high levels of ownership, entrepreneurial nature, self-motivation and customer centricity. High levels of follow-up will be required with several teams to ensure product quality. - The incumbent will need to manage a high personal workload with frequent peaks. - The incumbent will also need to demonstrate flexibility and quick learning abilities to work on topics spanning Group, Upstream, Downstream and Integrated Gas, and often, areas covering other businesses / functions. Education and Experience : - Commercial / Technical degree; MBA would be an advantage, but a sound industry experience can compensate for not having an MBA - Typically 7+ years of professional experience in Oil & Gas related industries with exposure in any of the following- finance, project delivery, sales/marketing, asset management/operations, techno-commercial roles in TaCIT, IRD,IT etc Skills required : - Market research, Consulting, financial analysis - Project management skills involving Planning, resource allocation, people management etc. - Awareness on key trends and geopolitics in Oil & Gas space - Ability to analyze complex data resulting in synthesis and insights - Direct exposure to O&G business, wider affinity with energy policies/regulatory aspects and working knowledge of financial statements would be a plus
