Client of Meru, who are leading manufacturers -world leader in the production of welding consumables and equipment.
Site Leader-Shared Services Centre, Chennai: This position will report to the to the India CFO
This role will provide leadership and manage the Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Chennai, India. The role will be a part of the Organizations Global Business Service with 3 global hubs and 400+ employees.
Key responsibilities : will be to plan, develop, and ensure execution of services, standard operating procedures, and controls across the organization. Ensure consistent delivery on transactional data services, incorporating the security of employee, financial, and company data in all activities. Drive accountability for driving continuous improvement throughout the team to streamline the processing of data between the businesses, Finance, and the SSC.
Key accountabilities:
- Complete ownership of the SSC Function and responsible for the deliverables of the SSC in Chennai, support the transition and transformation activities.
- Support the implementation of the global SSC strategy on the Chennai site
- Drive efficiency and control improvement initiatives in India
- Adoption of New technologies.
- Provides direction, guidance and daily management to the SSC team with a focus on data completeness, accuracy, and Data Privacy.
- Value Stream Mapping and Lean Management through continuous improvement process in line with the Global strategy
- Conduct daily/ weekly / monthly meetings within the teams and with the group entities based on need.
- To proactively avoid problems of any nature and to resolve any problems
- To identify the training needs of team members to help them improve the individual performance.
- Consciously increase the employee engagement activities towards improving the morale and motivation levels of team members and their retention
- Identifying newer projects on a global basis that can be handled by the India Region SSC
Basic Qualifications
- 15+ yrs experience in multinational environment
- At least 10 years experience in managing end-to-end processes on global level SSC department in a leadership capacity.
- MBA (Finance / General Management) is required
- Fluency in English is required to include verbal and written. Any other foreign language will be of additional weightage
