Overview :

- We organize workers to achieve their goals of full employment and self-reliance through the strategy of struggle and development.

- The struggle is against the many constraints and limitations imposed on them by society and the economy, while development activities strengthen womens bargaining power and offer them new alternatives. Practically, the strategy is carried out through the joint action of union and cooperatives

Background :

- SEWA Bharat (www.sewabharat.org) is a federation of Self-Employed Womens Associations working with women workers in the informal sector in 9 states in micro-finance, social security, housing, education, skill development and creation of market linkages.

- SEWA Bharat has its Head Office in Delhi overseeing closely 8 states of Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttarakhand through the local offices.

Tasks :

The consultant will be responsible for carrying out the following tasks :

- Day to day accounting.

- Documentation of incoming invoices related to Project activities.

- Maintain the project wise voucher entry in Tally ERP9.

- Making of cash reconciliation on daily basis.

- Making of Bank Reconciliation Statement on weekly basis.

- Maintain the staff personal files.

- Monitoring & Settlement of advances of Staff consultants/suppliers.

- Maintenance of various registers such as Salary, Fixed Assets Register etc

- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.

- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.

- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

Deliverables : Overall Financial Reporting of Project which is holding by the accountant. (Monthly/Quaterly/Annualy).

Skills and Qualification :

- Post graduate degree in Commerce or CA (Inter)

- Minimum of4-5 years work experience, preferably in the development/NGO Sector.

- Command on MS Word, MS Excel and Internet operations also.

- Sound knowledge of Tally ERP9 accounting software.
