Role Summary : The role of a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist is ever-changing, as the trends and algorithms of online search constantly evolve, so, it is important for an SEO Specialist to be able to think on their feet and stay ahead of these changes. Because most companies today have a website or some type of online presence, they all need to have good SEO strategies in place to make their content more visible online. Therefore, an SEO Specialist role is relevant to any organization with a website or that publishes content online. The overarching goal of an SEO Specialist is to drive more traffic to a website and improve the ranking of an organization's content in search engines by analysing and reviewing websites and implementing changes to those websites through better search strategies. Roles and Responsibilities : - Develop optimization strategies that increase the company's search engine results rankings - Research SEO keywords to use throughout the company's website and marketing materials - Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts - Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance - Efficiently communicate with other marketing professionals to align goals - Collaborate with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy - Write compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts and page descriptions - Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings Knowledge/Skills : - Two to three years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns - Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods - Experience with SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics - Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools - Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry - Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.) - Comfortable analysing high volumes of data daily - Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems - Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus Experience : - At least 3-7 years' experience in digital Marketing - Substantial experience in managing online campaigns as part of a web/marketing team - Extensive experience analysing website traffic, including on- page behaviours, in- bound traffic patterns, and A/B testing - Experience of working in a fast-moving business - Experience of managing change and implementing new initiatives - Knowledge and interest about technology, marketing & communications. Desirable : - A general Marketing qualification. - Google Analytics qualified - Working in an agency/network/client side - Working in the public or private staffing or Consulting Sector - UK Experience/Global Experience
