Sr VP sales & Marketing Specialty Chemicals & Inks
- The incumbent will direct and coordinate all activities and resources to achieve the successful execution of the company's sales and account management & development strategy and to achieve agreed targets, including growing market share, achieving profitability targets on short and mid- term, whilst preparing the business for long-term profitable growth.
The position has the following broad responsibilities:
As Sales Head:
- Formulating business plans for achievement of volume and sales targets for the business
- Developing & implementing strategies to position the differentiation & value of company's offerings in the market
- Building and maintaining close relationships with the business partners
- Developing a fact based understanding of the market & derive insights into key market characteristics
- Improving customer focus and driving a customer satisfaction oriented culture
- Effective Sales forecasting, planning and obtaining and servicing orders
- Effective management of receivable and credit risk
- Analyzing data collected formally as well as informally, to have a thorough knowledge of the industry &; Organization's customers
- As a champion of company's values, ensuring compliance across systems & processes
- Building & leading a highly motivated & competent sales team
As Marketing Head :
- Establishing medium & long range product strategy and effective execution of the same
- Developing marketing plans along with business heads and Asia Pacific Product
- Heads &; Work with brand owners in large FMCG
- Develop " Go to Market strategy " for new segments
- Co lead - technical service with R&D head for effective deployment through a Solutions based approach.
- Ensuring systematic and timely dissemination of information to the field force
- Ensuring sales growth by constantly monitoring and improving existing products and facilitating launch of new products
- Effectively Work with Digital Marketing COE to continuously upgrade website and run Social media campaigns and product webinars.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
- An ideal candidate would be a professional with about 20+ years of experience in Ink / Packaging /
- Specialty Chemicals. The incumbent would have spent early part of one's career in regional sales roles and gradually progressed into positions of increased general management / strategic responsibilities with balanced experience in both sales and marketing.
The most likely profile would be someone with:
- Strong experience across handling sales with Large Accounts ( multilevel touch points as well as distributors)
- Proven record of developing and implementing growth strategies for the segments mentioned above
- Track record of delivering financial outcome through strong revenue management skills
- Experience of leading strong sales and business development teams in competitive markets
- Experience of developing marketing programs with limited resources and implementing the same
- Experience in creating & managing successful customer relationships
- Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively in a professional environment
- Understanding of related functions including R&D, logistics & supply chain will be desirable
- Demonstrated ability of building and developing teams around business plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
