SVP- Operations & Finance| Diversified business conglomerate

- Our client is India's leading e-commerce player based out of Bangalore. With an annual GMV in excess of USD 2 billion per annum, it has diversified business interests and deep-rooted partnerships with market leaders in their segments.

- Founded in 1980 by a Harvard Business School alumnus with a small set up dealing in wholesale textiles, it has successfully expanded to become a pioneer in retail, distribution, health care, angel funding, and e-commerce.

- As a SVP- Operations & Finance, you will be responsible for managing strategy, operations, finance and taking complete P&L responsibility of the business.

What you will do:

- Managing the operational health of the business by ensuring high inventory turns, efficient working capital management and optimum profitability to reach target ROI for the business

- Reviewing the performance of team periodically vis- vis business plan to advise or appraise them accordingly with the relevant stakeholders

- Ensuring regular publishing of dashboards and key metrics to appraise senior management of the progress and performance of the vertical

- Ensuring timely closure of accounts, books, preparation of MIS

- Stakeholder management (internal, external) and managing conflicts with grace

- Directing and overseeing all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization

- Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place and ensuring compliance with state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting (GST, Service Tax, PT, TDS etc)

What you need to have:

- BS/ B.Com in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CA highly desirable

- 10+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles, preferably in e-commerce industry

- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and making decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

- Willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job

- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

- Exceptional influencing skills, excellent organizational, multi-tasking, presentation and time-management skills

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in providing crisp, insightful information to executive teams

- Flexible mindset

- Comfort with complex environment and with evolving priorities

- Entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking

- Work experience in ecommerce is a significant advantage

- Understanding of technology and software products is a significant advantage

- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
