Corporate Title : Vice President

Location : MGS - Bengaluru

Shift Timing : 12- 9 PM IST.

Job Profile :

- The Senior Vendor Engagement Success Leader will lead, plan, design and implement solutions to ensure quality and optimum performance of offshore vendor resources and teams in India.


- The ideal candidate will have a strong technology delivery background coupled with proficient business acumen, and experience building and managing technology teams.


- This role will support the delivery of MUFG strategies, technology services and related projects by ensuring MUFG is served by strong, qualified and optimally engaged offshore vendor teams.


- Responsibilities include onsite visits to vendor locations, identifying and implementing vendor resource engagement improvements, serving as a conduit for bidirectional feedback between MUFG and offshore contractor resources, building and improving offshore vendor strategies with onshore leaders, tracking offshore vendor resource trends (turnover, skills, supply/demand, output, and productivity), and driving improvements.

Position details :

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Support Application Development teams responsible for Core Banking, Capital Markets, Corporate functions (HR, Risk, Finance, Compliance), and Data Services.

- Ensure high quality and optimum performance of offshore vendor teams.

- Lead, plan, design and implement solutions to ensure optimum engagement and productivity of offshore vendor resources in India.

- Screening of vendor resources and track hiring and onboarding metrics - improve candidate quality.

- Review contracts and partner with TPRM and Sourcing with focus on quality and efficiency.

- Serve as a conduit for bidirectional feedback between MUFG and offshore contractor resources.

- Build and improve offshore vendor strategies with onshore leaders.

- Structure on site vendor visits and establish in person team meeting cadence with offshore resources.

- Attend, provide input and critique vendor QBR.

- Ensure data security practices are closely followed.

- Gather onshore manager performance feedback and drive improvement.

- Track offshore vendor resource trends (turnover, skills, supply/demand, output, and productivity), and drive improvements.

- Track/Manage Risks, Issues, Assumptions, and Dependencies associated with offshore vendor delivery.

- Resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure vendor quality deliverables on-time and within budget.

- Manage escalations and remove blockers.

Job Requirements :

- Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.

- Banking & Financial Services sector IT experience is a must.

- Familiarity with Banking Product vendors such as Finastra, Fiserv, FIS, Oracle etc. is a plus.

- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in managing a technology delivery team.

- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in software development lifecycle activities.

- 6+ years of Delivery Lead (IT Lead) experience in an onshore/offshore model (preferably coming from ODC or similar banking sector.)

- 6+ years of resource management experience.

- Familiarity with application development technologies.

- Experience with Agile teams and waterfall delivery.

Technical Skills :

- Recent hands-on experience is not required, however prior experience in the following is necessary to effectively perform in this role.

- Development: Java, .Net, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, NoSQL

- Tools: UNIX shell scripts, GitHub, BitBucket, Autosys

- Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, AIX, Windows

- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, RDS, Aurora, RedShift, Snowflake

- Data Integration: Informatica, WebSphere, Glue, HiveQL, Hadoop, etc.

- Cloud Architecture: Azure, AWS

- Business Intelligence: Tableau, Business Objects

- Software Engineering: CI/CD, Quality Assurance, CMMI, ITIL, UML, Cyber Security, Data Security & Privacy

Soft Skills :

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Demonstrated critical thinking skills

- Effective conflict management skills

- Strong organization and time management skills

- Strong interpersonal skills
