Senior Vice President - Financial Controller/Legal Entity Controller - Banking Captive

Looking for SVP - Financial Controller or Legal Entity controller, MNC Banking Captive, Bangalore

This role will be responsible for creating a business view to the controllership function within the organization. Managing, delivering, and governing business finance controller related reporting and analytics requirements.

- Partner with the business finance Controller to design and execute the controller mandate for the business.

- Create a business view of the balance sheet that is supported by the existing substantiation process.

- Build a monthly rigor to monitor open items and its implications covering risks and audit issues.

- Create a governance forum to review and action open issues across individual product areas.

- Work closely with CFOs, R2R and command center to help drive increased visibility on late entries with clear focus on how they need to be reduced over time.

- Establish clear guidelines that will drive decisions around close and acceleration.

- Collaborate closely with the accounting teams in helping drive greater control of entries that impact business performance outcomes.

- Work closely with the data management team to define GL standards and accounting treatments to help balance control and performance reporting requirements.

- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.

- Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.

- Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.

- Collaborate with Group Financial Control, R2R, and Business finance Controller to design and execute the Business Controller organisation covering onshore and offshore locations.
