NEED PEOPLE FROM SOLAR BACKGROUND ONLY :
1. JOB PURPOSE :
- Right hand to COO to manage and oversee rooftop and ground-mounted solar sales
- To recruit, lead, motivate, and monitor performance of rooftop and ground-mounted solar sales staff
- Overall responsible for the lead generation, sales, collections, installation and servicing commercial and industrial rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- To sell rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems to SMEs, corporations, and institutions
- To identify potential project customers, develop them into prospects, and close orders
- To recruit and help further build the PV project sales team
- To drive sales through state-level sales managers now present in 5 states; over time to recruit more sales managers and enter new states
- To ensure that sales managers log all relevant sales information through the company's CRM in a disciplined fashion to ensure better oversight
- To ensure timely follow up with customers who have enquired about a system; to set standards for how long it will take to reach all interested customers, and then ensure that standard is met
- To work closely with the in-house call centre both with regard to inbound calls, and overseeing outbound calls - e.g. marketing campaigns
- To liaise with VP Operations to ensure proper order execution - in particularly proper receipt of payment prior to dispatch / installation
- To liaise closely with VP Technical and the technical team on final installation and after-sales service
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- 15-20 years of experience in techno-commercial B2B sales with 3-4 years as a head of sales
- Experience in the solar industry is highly desired
- Willing to travel extensively 15-20 days per month
- Proven track-record in handling a projects business / department with bottom line responsibility
- Prior experience in handling large-scale projects and key accounts
- Ideally, will have broader commercial background
- Highly methodical, with demonstrated capabilities for overall project management
- Strong leader - able to manage senior members of the projects sales team
- Can present himself / herself well and properly represent the company
- MBA is plus, but not essential
