Senior Underwriter - Mortgage Loan

The Role: Sr Underwriter

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform complete and in-depth review of mortgage loan files including; income, assets, & credit

- Thorough income calculation - salaried income, non-employment Income & Self Employment income

- Knowledge of reviewing & Perform Income calculation with personal tax returns 1040 and business income tax returns like 1065, 1120S and 1120.

- Perform Income calculation for Non-Employment Income like social security Income, Pension Income, Defined contribution Income, Asset Depletion Income.

- Perform Income calculation of "Other Income" like Border Income, Foreign Income, Alimony, Child Support, or Separate Maintenance Income, Farm income , Dividend Income, Capital Gain Income, Disability Income & Trust Income.

Skills Required:

- Underwrite and decision loans to comply with state and federal regulations. Well versed with FNMA, FHLMC and investor guidelines.

- Thorough working knowledge of Automated Underwriting System (DU/LP).

- Knowledge of Conventional (mandatory).

- Evaluate complete loan documents and should provide approval or denial decisions

- Complete review of credit report to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records, and credit reconciliation
