We are looking forward for a suitable candidate for the position of Sr. Trading Analyst role (Pricing / Risk / Arbitrage)

JD:-

The role is responsible for

- Identifying trading opportunities and managing a trading book within specified risk limits

- In-depth analysis of special situations, events which may be fundamental, macro driven in order to capture different trading opportunities

This role could lead to being responsible for the P&L of the entire desk and leading the team in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

- As the role evolves, managing and mentoring the team

Functional Responsibilities

a. Analyzing and assessing the risk reward across special situation opportunities. This requires evaluating trade-offs presented in different scenarios.

b. Analyzing different events which impact the market, identifying the impact of these events, finding trading/investment opportunities.

c. Managing own trading book and on-going trades of the desk

d. Innovation, research & implementation of new trading strategies, to ensure growth of the desk in terms of its bouquet of products

e. Post trade analytics, review of the desk

f. Ensuring that pre and post corporate action processes are in place

g. This role could lead to P&L responsibility of the Risk Arbitrage trading desk

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Grad 6+ / MBA 5+ years

Experience

4-7 years in capital/financial markets

Functional Competencies

- Understanding of market microstructure, company/sector fundamentals

- Knowledge of derivatives, multiple products, multiple trading strategies

- Capability to assess risk/reward trade-offs in an ambiguous environment.

- Analytical skills, logical thinking, ability to analyze special situations/corporate event/macro event

- In-depth understanding of Corporate Action Regulations

Behavioral Competencies

- Communication Skills ( interactions required across levels, within and outside organization)

- Sense of responsibility, ownership, self-starter

- Meticulous, methodical, ability to stretch, passion for markets, inquisitive

- Team player

- Capable of being a team lead in the future who has a strong risk appetite, ability to handle large positions and the P&L swings that accompany them

Mid Office, Settlement Operations teams

- To ensure that pre & post work associated Corporate Actions are in place

Compliance & Risk team

- To ensure that required compliance / risk approvals are in place, To communicate the risks taken by the desk

External

Research Analysts from external brokers

- To gain a better/in-depth understanding of different sectors / companies

Management Teams from different organizations

- To gain a better understanding of the organization / sector

Compliance, Finance or Investor Relations teams of different organizations

- To get updates on Corporate Actions
