Senior Tax Specialist - US Tax

Education : B. Com, BBA, M. Com, MBA - Finance, CA

Office Timings : 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Objective of the role :

- Hands on experience working with US Taxation team.

- Experience and knowledge of US Tax codes.

- Preparation of Tax returns and related documents as required under IRS rule.

- Performing role of reviewer in client handling by communication with clients or US office and managing process of client deliverables within specified time.

- Identify tax planning/advisory opportunities and be updated on the latest tax reforms.

- Responsible for preparation and review of estimates and Extension vouchers for Federal, State and City Returns.

- Prepare complex individual or partnership tax returns to be reviewed by Managers.

- Work closely with the US Engagement team and target to complete the assigned task.

- Handling tax notices from various state departments and responding to state audit queried accordingly

- Prepare the federal return workpaper and calculation of taxable income for clients.

- Prepare and make recommendation regarding accuracy and tax saving opportunities.

- Experience in preparing reconciliation reports.

- Preparing of all necessary supporting documents forms and schedules as per the specifications from taxpayers to file tax returns to entities.

- Work as individual contributor with US Team on compliance work.

- Coach and mentor Tax staff

- Participate in community of practice.

- Have regular interactions with the clients, seniors, and other office counter parts to collaborate on multiple tasks.

- Coach and guide the Associates and Analysts on Tax preparations and processes.

- Take up higher responsibilities to free up the Managers for other tasks.

- Participate in hiring, recruitment, and interviews
