Senior Specialist - Financial Operations

Responsibilities:.

- FinOps Leadership: Lead and drive the implementation and ongoing management of FinOps practices and processes, serving as a subject matter expert to optimize cloud spending and resource utilization across the organization.

- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated financial models, budgets, and forecasts tailored to cloud services and infrastructure, providing insights into cost trends, projections, and opportunities for optimization.

- Cost Optimization: Conduct comprehensive cost analysis of cloud usage and expenditure data, leveraging advanced analytics and cost optimization techniques to identify inefficiencies, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance, procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to align cloud spending with strategic objectives, budgetary constraints, and operational requirements, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

- Cost Allocation and Chargeback: Design, implement, and manage robust tagging strategies, cost allocation methodologies, and chargeback mechanisms for cloud resources, ensuring accurate cost attribution and accountability across business units and projects.

- Recommendations and Strategy: Provide actionable recommendations and strategic guidance on rightsizing, reserved instance management, pricing models, and other cost optimization strategies to maximize value and ROI from cloud investments.

- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on cloud spending, cost savings initiatives, and financial performance, facilitating data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

- Industry Awareness and Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud cost management, leveraging insights from industry benchmarks, case studies, and peer networks to drive innovation and excellence in FinOps practices.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in financial management and analysis.

- Proven track record in financial operations, cost management, or related roles, with a focus on cloud services and infrastructure.

- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, architectures, and billing models, combined with hands-on experience in cloud cost optimization and management.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting, with advanced skills in Excel, financial planning software, and data visualization tools.

- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, coupled with excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
