Summary :


- The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the Finance activities in relation to the Kidney Care spin off including legal entities creation across the South East Asia countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam)

- The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


- Support incorporation of new legal entities - corporate secretarial documents, setting up bank accounts, registration of tax and indirect tax, appointment of auditors/tax agents and other matters

- Involved in design of JDE and other systems required for new entities, including user acceptance testing

- Participate in Separation Management Office discussions and assess financial implications of other functions' decisions

- Involved in drafting opening balance sheets/proforma financial statements, valuation of assets, balance sheet carve outs

- Work with Treasury on debt/equity decision, cash pooling structure

- Provide audit support as needed

- Support local, regional, and global projects, as required

- Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes

- Coordinate statutory audit, prepare and review financial statements and other statutory reporting

- Preparation of tax returns and ensure tax compliance including tax audits and face to face interaction with tax authorities to drive favorable outcomes

- Drive automation opportunities and simplification initiatives

- Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysis

- Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls

- Maintain focus on continuous process improvement opportunities

Qualifications:


- Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience.

- Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit

- Good knowledge of US GAAP

- Strong analytical skills

- Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and "can do" mind-set

- Fluent in both written and spoken English

- Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education and/or Experience: Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA

- Experience in JDE is an advantage

- Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays
