Senior Solution Architect - IT

Architecture Experience :

- Experience in defining, realizing and implementing end-to-end Solution Architecture for large & complex ecommerce systems with independent multi/Omni channel store fronts

- 10+ years of experience in IT including at least 3 years in Architecture roles

- 5+ years of architecture definition experience using Java/JEE, Spring, JMS & ORM (Hibernate, JPA)

- 5+ years of experience in architecture definition for ecommerce systems - least 2 ecommerce Server product (Hybris| WCS | Magento)

- 3+ years of experience in architecture definition for digital marketing platforms - at least 2 Web Content Management Server products (Adobe AEM | Magnolia | Alfresco | Sitecore)

- 3+ years of architecture definition experience in implementation / integration of Search products / platforms with content management and commerce products / platforms (Solr | Endeca | FAST | Elastic Search)

- Proficient in channel experience personalization through usage of context, web interactions, 3rd part data etc.

- Experience in Architecture consulting engagements is a must e.g. architecture assessment, technology fitment and trade off assessments

- Follow trends in technology and have a point of view on future of commerce, digital marketing, cloud

- Understanding of big data platforms concepts and NoSQL technologies, and ability to map such tools to context.

- Strong understanding of architecture patterns such as multi-tenancy, scalability, and federation, microservices to build cloud-ready systems

- Certification in TOGAF/Open group certified Architect/IASA CITA-P/SOA school certified SOA Architect is desirable

Technology and Engineering Experience :

- 4+ years of experience in at least 2 eCommerce product/platform (Hybris | WCS | Magento)

- 4+ years of experience in at least 2 web content management products / platforms (Adobe AEM| Magnolia| Alfresco | Sitecore)

- 2+ years of experience in using any of the ESB & Rule engine tools/products

- 2+ years of experience in web-services - SOAP, RESTful

- Expertise in creating technical documents like Architecture views, Technology Architecture Blueprint and Design specification

- Strong experience in at least one RDBMS (Oracle | DB2 | MySQL)

- Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing infrastructure (Azure / Amazon EC2 / - )

- Knowledge of PaaS platforms is a plus.

- Knowledge of one NoSQL or big equivalent platform (HDFS, HBase / Cassandra / Mongo / HazelCast / Redis / - )

- Proficient in Amazon / Azure (PaaS & IaaS) & UNIX/Linux environments

- Experience with different development methodologies (Scrum | SAFe)

- Certification in any Architecture related area is a plus

Key responsibilities :

- Define and own end-to-end Architecture from definition to go-live phase

- Architecture consulting in the domains of eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Omni-channel access and personalization, and API enablement

- Closely monitor technology and industry trends, visible thought leadership through blogs, white papers and point of views

- Define & develop reference architecture, toolkits, and solution accelerators

- Ensure clarity on NFR and address these requirements during Architecture definition phase

- Define Logical, Technical & Physical views of Architecture

- Define reusable components/frameworks, common schemas, standards to be used & tools to be used and help bootstrap the engineering team

- Review design to make sure design is aligned with Architecture

- Lead performance engineering and capacity planning exercises

- Help PM in identifying key technical risks and mitigation plan for the same

- Help PM in effort estimation and planning

- Mentor & guide Tech Leads & Software Engineers

Other Responsibilities :

- Handle interviews to attract external talent for the role of Technical Architect

- Nurture & groom in-house budding Architects

- Involve in pre-sales process and lead creating effective proposals for large, complex systems

- Conduct internal sessions on Architecture and Technology related topics
