Senior Sales Manager (Agriculture/Agri products)

The main objective of the position is to lead the sales for Inputs and Farmer engagement business for company. This entails leading the team to meet and exceed the revenue and profitability targets for pan nation.

The incumbent would leverage on the technology platform and the Agri Entrepreneur and other farmer outreach models to enable farmers to buy the inputs from the platform and get advisory services.

Formulation of sales strategy, creation and roll-out of sales initiative, creation of annual, quarterly and monthly sales plan and tight execution of the plan to deliver target revenue, profitability and user addition/ farmer addition would be key success criteria for the role.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Owns the overall Revenue, P&L and user/ farmer addition metrics for the vertical.

- Formulation and roll out of the sales strategy for the Inputs and Farmer Engagement Segment considering the overall market size, revenue and growth potential.

- Design and roll out sales initiatives that help team achieve the revenue, profitability and user numbers

- Creation of region-wise monthly and quarterly budgets and drive the sales team to achieve the numbers

- Creation of manpower plan and drive hiring of right resources in timely manner through team and HR.

- Educate the team to leverage on cross sell opportunities for the team in post-harvest solutions in 3PL, financing and Warehousing.

- Drive the farmer engagement through the advisory services, AE model and other modes of engagements

- Closely monitor and drive the AE channel to drive crop advisory, input and output sales and deepen the farmer network engagement

- Develop and maintain relationship with key personnel in Input producers of fertilizers, seeds and pesticides.

- Drive the usage of company platform/app by the farmer network

- Understand and forecast market size & segment growth in the state to develop effective strategies to achieve the desired sales, market share and profitability in each of the segment

- Give Strategic direction to the Sales team to optimize the overall productivity and performance, engraining the company values in the team and aiming at making it the best managed company in the state/Geography

EDUCATION & TRAINING :

- Graduate from Agri/ Rural Development Stream

- Current or Past Functional Area :

- Inputs/ Agriculture/Dairy/Foods-FMCG

SKILLS & ABILITIES :

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

- Experience in leading sales work force across the country

- Should have handled client independently
