The Sr. Sales Engineer will -
- Develop long term relationships with key accounts and partners that sustain repeat sales opportunities.
- Conduct sales calls and presentations in assigned territory as required.
- Create demand for Energy Products & services within assigned territory.
- Close sales opportunities on energy projects.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative customer and product offerings to drive global sales growth.
- Coordinate and drive cross-functional work plans and be an excellent team player to ensure program success.
- Rapidly evaluate market dynamics across sectors (utility, wholesale markets, residential, etc.) and drivers (policy/regulatory, economics, etc.)
- Identify and qualify market partners; cultivate strong relationships with appropriate partners
- Contribute to strategic frameworks and planning that will guide organisation's long-term growth
Desired Profile
- Experience in the energy sector with utility and renewable experience preferred
- Retail energy and wholesale market experience strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of power markets as well as distributed energy resource technologies and applications, such as solar, energy efficiency, demand response, storage, etc.
- Track record of guiding high-impact projects to successful completion
- Expertise in developing and managing senior-level external counterparty relationships
- Demonstrated ability to lead rapid cycles of analysis, recommendation, and implementation
- Self-starter with an ability to prioritize work and execute many projects and tasks in parallel
