About the Role

The role involves:

- The primary function will be to proactively manage the Internal Audit of Cards and payments function in tandem with the continuous strategic developments and undertake internal audit activities in accordance with the bank's Policies, Procedures, Regulatory requirements, Internal Audit Standards, and leading practices

- Develop detailed audit plans based on risk assessment and regulatory framework; ensure use of advanced integrated auditing concepts and extensive use of technology and data analysis for achievement of the audit objectives

- Implement a continuous monitoring process for the internal audit department to ensure, partnership with client management, timely resolution of significant control issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop audit plan across the various products and processes relating to Cards & Payments function in line with the bank strategy, applicable regulatory guidelines and audit policy & procedures

- Effective management and execution of the audit plan for proactive identification and remediation of risk relating to various business products, processes and units

- Provide effective recommendations for improvements to the organization policies, processes and practices based on leading industry practices and emerging risks

- Active engagement with stakeholders for implementation of recommendations for effective risk mitigations and improvement in the control environment

- Develop strategies for identification of triggers / risk hotspots and conduct unplanned reviews / investigations based on various triggers/ hot spots, directives received from regulators, board committees and senior management

- Keep abreast of the emerging audit trends and drive key audit initiatives for efficient and effective achievement of the audit objectives

- Implement an effective continuous monitoring framework for ongoing monitoring of risk relating to various business products, processes and units

- Effective communication and reporting to various stakeholders including regulators , board committee

Education / Qualification:

- CA/MBA (Finance)

- 14-20 Years of Experience (Banking Domain preferred)

- Experience in the field of Internal Audit, Risk Management Process in BFSI, Data analysis and continuous monitoring.

- Excellent business, technical knowledge and experience in banking processes, regulatory requirements within BFSI and internal audit of the banking processes
