II. Position Summary
- Seeking an experienced Head of HR Shared Services as part of our Gallagher Service Center (GSC) to strategically advance our global HR shared services model in collaboration with HR function leads across multiple geographies (e.g., Americas, EMEA, APAC). As the Head of HR Shared Services for India, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the GSC HR Shared Services (GHRSS) team, including setting the overall shared service vision and roadmap, and prioritizing HR shared service programs and initiatives.
- This leader will be responsible for growing the volume and scope of global HR shared services, and enabling effective coordination, transition, and delivery of these services across our onshore and offshore teams.
- The Head of HR Shared Services will be counted on to effectively understand and translate broader Gallagher business / offshoring strategy into global HR shared services initiatives. Additionally, this Leader will manage HR shared services policies, procedures, and programs to meet service delivery targets, drive process improvements, optimize service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency to meet organizational goals.
- A pivotal player in our global growth, this role will be a key member of the GSC leadership team, acting as a local representative of the Corporate Human Resources Function to champion and protect global operating models and processes while exemplifying a demeanor and attitude that encourages and motivates a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
III. Primary Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy o Develop and execute the HR shared services strategy for India, aligning it with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the shared services team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with senior management to define service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and KPIs for HR shared services operations.
2. Operations Management o Oversee the end-to-end delivery of HR shared services.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies in all HR shared services activities
3. Stakeholder Management o Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various geographies (e.g., Americas, EMEA, APAC, India) to understand their requirements, identify opportunities for service enhancement, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business units and functional leaders, providing proactive support and guidance on shared services matters.
4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of HR shared services.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting operational performance, key achievements, and areas for improvement.
5. Team Development o Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing HR shared services team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill sets.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the shared services team.

- Proven experience in building and managing HR shared services operations, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of HR shared services processes, best practices, and industry trends.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Change agent with experience leading and successfully driving change
- Knowledge of relevant software and technologies used in shared services operations.
- Deep understanding of HR Operations across geographies is a must.
V. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree in HR preferred.
- 20+ years of relevant work experience.

- Position will report into CHRO, GSC-India & Global Head of Talent Management & HR Transformation.

- This position is located in a temperature controlled office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate.
- This position is to work in a Hybrid model and depending on the need have to be flexible to work from office/home as required to accomplish their role.
