Senior Role - Financial Control - Bank

We are an executive search firm named People Tree Consultants specialized in Banking & Financial services.

We are having an immediate opening at a Sr. Level for Financial Control Department with a leading Foreign Bank.

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 10-15 years

Qualification: CA (Preferably) / MBA (Finance)

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for maintaining local books of accounts, monitor checks and controls between local GAAP and Group GAAP, manage local year-end closing of accounts and manage the local chart of accounts.

- Liaise with the auditors in conjunction with other team members, to provide information as and when required during the audit, coordinate with other departments for information in order to ensure a smooth audit procedure.

- Preparation of financials and other data pertaining to regulatory returns as per the time schedule and format prescribed and submission of the same to the concerned external authority in order to meet the Bank's statutory reporting requirements. It includes interactions with various teams in the bank for smoother flow of data.

- Compile and consolidate information for internal reporting to management, specific reports to treasury, Alco submissions, mis presentations to exco and all such reports as required by statute and local management. to ensure that the process documentation for all tasks in the relevant work areas are maintained and updated at all times. Monitor and report performance of controls related to local regulatory reporting section.

- Coordinating with compliance during RBI inspection, consolidating information as per inspection requirements, liaison with other departments as required, answering queries as and when required in order to ensure a smooth inspection.

- Perform first level controls with justification and evidences.

- Manage and monitor effective working relationships within team members within the department, co-ordinate and strategise with other teams and sections of the bank in order to improve the efficiency of the local regulatory reporting section. This also encompasses smooth relationship with external bodies like RBI as well as auditors. Liaise with external authorities like RBI, in order to ensure smooth relationship.
