Senior Role - Custody Operations & Automation - Financial Services Industry

Job Description:

Seeking a highly experienced and motivated person for our Custody Operations department. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Custody Operations, a passion for automation projects, and a strong ability to collaborate with product and client service teams. This role also involves extensive interaction with bankers, regulators, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Custody Operations: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Custody Operations team, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. Assist team in day to day operations.

- Automation Projects: Drive and oversee automation initiatives within Custody Operations to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.

- Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the client service teams to understand client requirements, provide solutions, and ensure client satisfaction.

- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with bankers, regulators, vendors, and other external partners to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

- Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on the latest regulatory changes in the custody operations space in India and ensure full compliance.

- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard assets and maintain a secure custody environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

- 12+ years of experience in Custody Operations within the financial services industry, preferably in India.

- Strong understanding of Indian regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Proven experience in successfully leading and managing teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

- An innovative mindset with a strong interest in automation and technology.
