Senior Role - Business Continuity Planing & Disaster Recovery - IT Infrastructure - Banking/Financial Institution

Description :

- Manage the implementation and day-to-day functions related to creating Technology Infra Business Continuity Plans and Procedures, while also managing Disaster Recovery operations.

- Responsible for interfacing with senior management and regulatory auditors along with GRC function, while also implementing and supporting the services.

- Identify potential Business Interruptions, develop safeguards against these interruptions, and implement recovery procedures in the event of a business interruption.

- Takes ownership of certain critical tasks or projects to ensure the timely delivery with quality.

- Develop and implement Disaster Recovery, Data Sensitivity, Library Management, Back-up and Recovery, and Disaster Recovery Plans and Procedures.

- Assume leadership role & interact with the technical Teams / Business units to provide the required consultancy to come up with new and innovative solution.

- Actively participate in the selection of the external vendors or products.

- Constantly monitor the technology trends in the market to ensure overall automation of DR runbooks to achieve reduction in RTO & RPO.

- Participate in company-wide Business Impact Assessment (BIA)

- Work with the Support teams to conduct periodical Drills, Mock exercises to ensure functioning of runbooks.

- Ensure all Critical data is backed up regularly and stored at off-site/cloud location.

- Review IT Infra support escalation matrix and conduct quarterly call tree testing.

- Ensure complete monitoring of RPO & RTO as well as monitoring of DR systems on a 24- 7 basis.

- Proactively takes up multiple roles on demand.

Qualification/ Skills/ Experience:

1. Any graduate / Post graduate with 14+ years of experience with minimum of 4 - 5 yrs leading a medium to large scale DR Operations for a Banking or Financial Institution.

2. Experience in managing Continuity function encompassing diverse Data Centre deployments on-premise, collocated & Cloud across Geographies.

3. Commanding knowledge on DR, BCP & HA

4. Should poses excellent knowledge of data replication technologies to ensure reduction in RPO.

5. Clear understanding of the project management framework. Should be able to write functional requirements/specifications.
