Position summary:

This role focuses on supporting the priority accounts in the Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) sector. The candidate shall work closely and collaborate with senior analysts in the team in supporting research and analysis requirements of relevant stakeholders.

The analyst impacts the firm's strategic decision-making and business growth by providing insightful analysis based on thorough knowledge of the BCM sector and markets. The analyst proactively monitors and anticipates trends and key issues for selected set of accounts in the Indian BCM sector and converts that knowledge into strategic research and analysis deliverables either on a proactive basis or in response to specific requests. The candidate collaborates with a global network of sector and account analysts to support pursuits, engagements, relationship development as well as brand building efforts of the firm. This insight is provided to firm leadership, BCM sector leadership and account leadership of EY's priority accounts.

Location: Gurgaon/Bangalore/Chennai/Mumbai

Essential functions:

1. Research and analysis:

- Predictive analysis: Un-packs events into key drivers and causes to develop multiple hypotheses investigate alternatives and recommend solutions. Draw together information from primary and secondary sources to prove or disprove hypotheses.

- Leveraging relevant information sources: Use analytical tools and techniques, specifically those relevant to the domain, and deftly uses them to address analytical issues. Demonstrate expertise in information sources relevant to the domain

- Linking service offerings: Understand and link solutions to current and expected trends and issues in the domain and the assigned accounts (if applicable), and thereby identify business opportunities for the firm

- Elicitation: Collect and analyse information from internal and external subject matter experts through various techniques - face-to-face interviews, telephonic interviews, electronic surveys, etc.

2. Project management:

- Planning and execution: Develops project plans and manages projects, including objectives, timelines, milestones, priorities, team member responsibilities and work products.

- Monitoring: Monitors progress and regularly updates stakeholders on potential overruns and changes; re-negotiates timelines, scopes changes and budgets if necessary.

- Collaborating: Develops project work products collaboratively with team members that focus on measurable business impact.

3. Stakeholder management:

- Network: Build and maintain relationships largely through virtual interactions (using telephone, video conference, Same-time and other electronic communication tools) with global stakeholders (including Partners, directors, senior managers)
