Senior Project Manager - IT

ROLE TITLE - SR. PROJECT MANAGER

ROLE PURPOSE - Enable Business to realize their stated business vision & strategy through effective IT project management and delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Construct business cases; compute and compare potential values across alternative project strategies and engagements

- Work closely with the engineers to define and develop the unsurpassed approach and plan

- Instill best practices for software and service delivery, assure implementation meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on schedules

- Manage departmental resources, staffing and mentoring and enhance and maintain a best-in-class engineering team

- Maintain and improve existing software as part of sustenance engineering

- Prepare technical requirements and software design specifications

- Very strong in project management and status reporting; includes status of development, quality, IT operations and system performance to stakeholders

- Good in vendor management and coordination

- Manage conflicting requirement from various stakeholder

- Make appropriate trade-offs across the set of applications/products in order to optimize for the landscape as a whole

- Demonstrate very strong skills in documenting architecture and preparing technical papers to explain architectural motivations/strategy or rationale

- Produce estimates for the whole project/ program using estimation methodologies and customizations appropriate to the project/ program

- Communicate strategy and plan to stakeholders per fact and artifacts.-

- Actively scan for technology trends that allow opportunities to differentiate

- Risk assessment and mitigation-contractual, technology and solution

- Grasp practical implications; exhibit tact, diplomacy and good judgment

Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred

- 10+ years of industry experience

- 3+ years of project management experience

- Demonstrated experience delivering innovative products

Preferred Qualifications :

- Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electronics engineering

- Proficient in MS - Office and MS Project

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex status and relevant information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non- technical leaders

- Excellent judgment, organizational and problem solving skills

- Robust project planning/execution skills including FPA estimating, scheduling and executing on committed schedules

- Proven success in building, motivating and retaining teams of star players

- Deeply technical with a track record of successful delivery as an individual contributor and leader

- Entrepreneurial spirit combined with strong program and product management skills

Experience and Exposure :

- Should have conducted multiple requirement study assignments, PoC development, planning, and execution. Reporting and metrics a must.

- Should understand large scale architecture management
