ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :&nbsp; This position of a Sr. Program Manager requires the person to manage, monitor and deliver on several infrastructure programs. The programs range from outsourced Helpdesk activity, deployment of infrastructure across our nationwide stores and manage internally developed program. The person will be responsible in steering these programs from creation to delivery. - This person will initially start of monitoring an outsourced team of Help Desk Engineers scattered across the country. These engineers are responsible for solving problems related to desktops, laptop, point-of-sale machines, network, printers, servers, communication devices etc. - Ensure the program conforms to the contractual obligations stated in the service agreement signed by the vendor. - Ensure the vendor follow state guidelines, security protocols, conduct business practices as agreed and conforms to service benchmarks or uptimes. - This person should have strong knowledge of Help Desk call tracking applications. - Be able to analyze and report to senior management and executives on performance of various programs - Ensure the programs provide the RoI as projected on commencement of these programs - Disaster recovery and crisis management skills - Excellent interpersonal skills to get multi high priority task done on time or schedule - Strong managerial, communication, leadership and presentation skills required. This person should like to thrive under stress and weather high call request conditions. Be able to quickly prioritize and reprioritize tasks. - Past track record in remote software deployment, policy management and standard setting is required. - At times the person can be called on to take up new product selection - Should have a service mindset, be able to effectively communicate with user community and senior managers in the company. - Strong hands-on knowledge of Hardware maintenance, deployment, selection and optimization. - Understanding of Network protocols, standards, exposure to leading network operating systems - Exposure to of prevailing network cabling standards and topology - Past experience in setting up local area network including design &amp; implementation of network cabling, - Network &amp; systems performance analysis for optimal utilization and documentation - Familiarity / exposure to network equipment from leading manufacturers -&nbsp; Past experience of managing networking projects - Coordination skills to handle System Integrators and vendors for ensuring proper deliverables - Exposure to NMS systems (like WhatsUP/HP OV/ Tivoli) - Understanding &amp; familiarity with of Network operating systems ( Windows 2000/XP, Linux) - Experience of installing &amp; managing server/network OS, application software and related peripherals on medium to large user base - Understanding of IS asset management &amp; Helpdesk management - Past experience of managing infrastructure projects - Coordination skills to handle System Integrators and vendors for ensuring proper deliverables and measure SLA - Exposure to IT procurement - Should be flexible on outstation visits and timing - Exposure to Management Suites (like Unitcenter/HP OV/ Tivoli) QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - B.E. / B. Tech. in Computer Science / Information Technology. - Additional diploma or certification in specific areas of hardware or network engineering in required. PREFERRED COMPETENCIES&amp; SKILLS - Hardware and network roll-out. Strong maintenance, coordination, managerial, monitoring, conflict management, crisis handling and performance evaluation skills.
